Sarah Palin…If She Were a Man…

I find it interesting that Sarah Palin is being criticized as a mother because she accepted the nomination for Vice President. There are people, women, arguing that she is neglecting her family by doing so. She is being criticized as a mother because her underage, unwed daughter is pregnant. Hmm….would we care if she was a man? If she were SAM Palin, would we care? Why is her husband not a bad father because his daughter got pregnant? Why is HE not an acceptable parent to stay home and watch the kids? Why is Barack not a bad father for wanting to be president while having small children at home? Do they not also need their father? Are fathers not active parents in these families? Apparently these people seem to think that a woman’s only place is raising babies in her house – not in the White House. What a shame that such stereotypes aren’t being addressed by the media.
